The 2015 Black Nazarene Procession Route Map
The Traslacion de Nazareno, or the traditional foot procession of the image of the Black Nazarene, is one of the largest religious processions in the Philippines. Every year, the faithful pull the carriage carrying the miraculous image of the Black Nazarene to the Quiapo Basilica-a reenactment of its actual transfer during the Spanish colonial era.
This year, the procession will start from Quirino Grandstand at Luneta and snakes its way towards Lawton, crosses the river through Jones Bridge, makes its way to the narrow streets of Escolta, Santa Cruz, and eventually in Quiapo, before ending the procession at the Basilica Minore de Nazareno-an almost seven kilometer journey that would take the whole day in the midst of the faith and madness.
(Due to the fire incident of the old PNB Building at Escolta, the procession will now pass at Dasmarinas Street)
