BGC Bus Map

The BGC Bus Map and Rough Guide

The BGC Bus serves as the main public mass transport in one of Metro Manila’s newest central business districts. Located in Taguig City (we’re not going to that Makati-Taguig thingy here), its strategic location in between two established financial districts of Makati and Ortigas, has made it a business and urban-leisure destination. BGC Bus serves locals, tourists, and locals between the district and to terminals at EDSA and Market-Market.

Out of my frustration with lack of maps, or perhaps the ever changing routes of Bonifacio Global City’s (BGC) buses, we decided to make a map based on BGC Bus’s latest information posted on their official Facebook page, plus the existing maps on Bonifacio Estate Services Corporation.

By default, BGC has three “regular” existing routes: West Route, East Route, and BGC Central. However, due to the increasing passenger and vehicular traffic in the area, they have added three more namely Upper West Route, Lower West Route, and the Night Route. The additional routes serves only on certain periods of the day.

Here’s the BGC Map. Click on the left panel to get the routes and what bus stops are the routes passing by. Click on the bus stop icons to know what buildings or landmarks are located nearby for your guidance. (Disclaimer: This isn’t the official maps of the BGC Bus. You may refer to their official FB page for more updated information. This is for informational and geo-tagging purposes only)

West Route

The West Route serves the western portion of BGC, where most condominiums and offices are located. It passes by Forbes Park. During rush hour traffic (Monday-Friday, 6am to 10am and 5pm to 9pm), it is divided into two:

  1. Upper West Route – The bus goes all the way to EDSA then heads to the north-western sector of BGC, where offices, condominiums, and Saint Lukes Hospital are located. It exits back to EDSA then to EDSA Ayala Bus Terminal.
  2. Lower West Route – It serves the south-western part of BGC where most condominiums are. It also passes The Fort entertainment complex and McKinley Parkway, for those heading to McKinley Hill and the American Cemetery.

The West Route also passes by The Mind Museum.

East Route

Serving as the bridge between EDSA (Makati CBD) and C5 Road (Taguig, Pateros, and Makati 1st District), the East Route is one of the busiest bus routes in BGC. It serves EDSA-Ayala on the west and Market-Market on the eastern terminus.

It passes by Saint Luke’s Hospital, 32nd Street, Serendra, schools such as International School, government offices such as Department of Energy and PNOC, and Bonifacio High Street, as it heads its way to Market-Market.

It enters and exists BGC through EDSA then Kalayaan Avenue. Take note though of heavy traffic, especially on Friday evenings.

BGC Central

It serves within the district, more like an “interior” jeepney or so. It links different bus stops that both East and West Route passes by.

Night Route

Back then, BGC was difficult for people working on their night shifts. They have to take a taxi or take a risk of riding a habal-habal. The company now responded with the Night Route, designed to serve most of the call center agents and other night shift employees from the two terminals to their offices.

It is also an affordable alternative for those who like to get in and out of the Fort during night outs.

The night route serves BGC Mondays to Sundays, from 10PM to 6AM the next day.

The Terminals

EDSA-Ayala Terminal serves as the hub for those heading and coming from Makati CBD and other parts of Metro Manila using the MRT-LRT system and the buses that ply the roads. Jeeps to Washington-Buendia (which passes by Ayala Avenue) is located nearby.

Market-Market Terminal serves as the hub in the east, particularly those who are going to Makati’s 1st District (The EMBO barangays), Taguig, Pateros, Pasig, and even Rizal. Jeepneys and UV Express cabs are located within the Market-Market Terminal.
